# Mixroadie vs. RoEx Automix and Cryo Mix

Automatic mixing from exported stems, compared with a plan you approve inside your own session.

RoEx Automix and Cryo Mix both mix stems. You export your tracks from the DAW, bring them in, and get a mix back.

**RoEx Automix** comes in two versions. The web version needs your stems uploaded. **Automix Desktop**, released in July 2026 for Mac and Windows, does the mixing on your own computer. You tag each stem (vocal, bass, synth and so on), and it sets EQ, compression, panning, levels and reverb, then masters the result. It can export a project for Ableton Live, Bitwig Studio or Fender Studio. The free tier watermarks its exports, and a subscription removes the watermark and adds more features.

**Cryo Mix** is a studio that runs in the browser. You drag in up to 32 stems, and its assistant, Nova, takes plain-language requests and shows what it changed. It also masters for streaming.

## Where they’re ahead

- **Any DAW.** All they need is exported stems.
- **Hands-off.** You can get a finished mix without reviewing a single move.
- **Nothing to install** for the browser versions.
- **A free way in.** RoEx’s free tier mixes and masters, with a watermark.

## Where Mixroadie is different

- **It works in your project, not on a copy.** Changes land in your REAPER session as ordinary stock plugins that you can open and change later. You don’t export stems or re-import a mix.
- **You approve every move.** Each change is listed with its reason and its before and after numbers. Untick what you don’t want. The project is backed up before anything is applied.
- **It knows which track is which.** You don’t tag stems. It identifies each track, and track names in any language work. You only confirm the ones it’s unsure about.
- **It fixes the recording as well.** It covers drum timing, vocal tuning, click repair and phase problems, and it flags files that were clipped or were once MP3s.
- **Your audio stays on your computer,** like RoEx Desktop’s and unlike the browser tools’. With Mixroadie’s default AI option, nothing leaves the machine at all.
- **No account.** You paste a licence key once, and after that it works offline with no sign-in.
- **You pay once.** $69 instead of a subscription.

## Which one to pick

If you want a finished mix back without being involved, or your DAW isn’t supported, RoEx or Cryo Mix is the simpler route. RoEx Desktop keeps the audio local too. If you want to keep working in your own session and see what changed and why, use Mixroadie.
