Windows will warn you once
Windows warns about every app that isn’t signed with a paid Microsoft-recognised certificate. Mixroadie isn’t signed yet. The steps below take about a minute, and you only do them on the first install.
Updates come through Mixroadie’s own panel and don’t ask again.
-
1. Keep the file
Edge may say the file “isn’t commonly downloaded”. Point at the download, click ⋯, then Keep, then Show more ▸ Keep anyway. Chrome may ask the same with a single Keep button.
-
2. Open the installer, click “More info”
Double-click the file. A blue box says “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info under the text. Don’t press “Don’t run”.
-
3. Click “Run anyway”
The box now shows the file name and “Unknown publisher”. Check the name is Mixroadie-Setup-0.1.7.exe, then click Run anyway.
-
4. Install
Click through the installer. Then open Mixroadie from the Start menu and press Install. That takes about two minutes and needs no admin password.
Still blocked?
- No “Run anyway” button, or “Smart App Control blocked”: Windows 11 with Smart App Control on blocks every unsigned app, with no way past it. We won’t ask you to turn that off. Write to us and we’ll tell you when the signed version is out.
- Your antivirus deleted the file: some scanners flag new unsigned installers by mistake. Don’t turn your antivirus off. Write to us with the scanner’s name and we report it.
- Bought a licence and can’t get it installed? You get your money back within 14 days. See the refund policy.
