How do I update Mixroadie?

When a new version is out, the panel shows a banner with Update now. One click downloads and installs it, and the panel reopens itself.

Updated

The panel checks for a newer version once a day by itself. When there is one, a banner on its main screen says so.

  1. Press Update now.
  2. Wait a moment: the download is a few megabytes, signed and checked before anything is run.
  3. The panel reopens itself on the new version.

If the update doesn’t finish, the previous version is put back automatically. Pressed Dismiss? The banner doesn’t come back for that version, but Settings still offers the update.

Updates the panel can’t install

Some updates add a new component and need the installer. The panel says so and points you to the download. Run it once, like the first install. It keeps your settings and your licence.

On a Mac you can also open the Mixroadie app: its status screen offers Update when a newer version is there.

“This panel is from a different version”

If the REAPER panel ends up from a different version than the rest of Mixroadie, it says so and offers Update panel. That puts the matching panel in place in a few seconds, with no download. Panels from before this button existed need the installer run once.

Which updates you get

A licence includes a year of updates. After that, the version you have keeps working, unchanged.

Still stuck?

Write to us with your computer (Mac or Windows and its version), your REAPER version and what you see. A screenshot helps.
